The Company is a highly-respected consulting civil engineering firm with over Sixty years’ experience, specializing in general civil engineering services for both public and private projects including water systems, storm drain and sanitary sewer system design; site design; and land planning. Great Basin also specializes in land use planning and government relations consulting.

Since its inception in Ogden, Utah in 1959, the Company has been dedicated to maintaining the highest professional standards. All projects are personally directed and managed by a principal of the Company, working with the client from inception to final construction. Other personnel, all with a wealth of experience in their fields, are assigned to various phases of the project to best utilize thier talents and specialties.

Intermountain Healthcare has been one of Great Basin’s top clients for the past 20 years, providing them with surveying and complete site design engineering services for Intermountain Medical Center, Dixie Regional Medical Center, Riverton Hospital, Park City Medical Center, Primary Children’s Ambulatory Care Center, many clinics and hospital additions.

Great Basin’s engineers and staff has provided excellent designs to challenging sites in a timely manner, such as the 70 acre campus for Intermountain Medical Center and the IMAT Office, Warehouse and Pharmacy Warehouse on a brownfield sites with strict EPA controls and city guidelines to mediating flood plain impacts on Dixie Regional Ambulatory Care Hospital to cost effectively designing the Park City Medical Center on a relatively steep hill side to massive excavation and shoring for the 5 story parking garage and Ambulatory Care Center of Primary Children’s Medical Center.
